Emily was utterly confused with herself. Again, she knew full well she was happy and had always been with Richard. He's a successful plastic surgeon who could provide her with security, money, great life, career support, and most importantly, he treated her like a queen. Everyone else would have been envious, provided they learned about her outrageous figure to have Richard. The slight problem was the 15 years age gap, which she didn’t mind mostly. Richard never failed to accommodate her with a comfortable life, luxurious car, constant visits to a fancy restaurant, elaborate garment, and a getaway to die for. Yet, the most alluring charm, to her, was his stamina and his excellent bedside manner that kept her exhausted yet satisfied two times a day. Could this younger doctor be just a quick distraction that will eventually fade away or she just simply wants something better?

She tried to avoid contact with Patrick as much as she could. She hated that feeling in her stomach, the twisted bitterness from guilt and shame. But the other encounter did not want to give up his price just yet.

"Hey, I haven't seen you lately" The biggest smile smeared his face, he looked like a child seeing his favourite candy store reopening after a month reconstruction. He marched toward her too fast before Emily could hide.

"Hey," She brushed again like a little teenage girl. Emily missed seeing Patrick's irresistible ocean blue eye and she was shamelessly delightful when he actually caught her.

"Where have you been? I started to get worried"

"I'm around here, where have you been!?!?" she felt slightly more relaxed

"I thought you were secretly practicing your jogging to beat me"

"I doubt I would ever beat you.”

The jog... it was the most exciting workout she had. Her heart pounded unusually fast and hard, mortally uncontrollable, sinfully lustful for his touch. He only brushed the hair off her cheek, but she kept thinking about the strong hands, wanting them to caress her body.

“Anyway, I think perhaps you’re better at drinking. I don’t want to visit the Phase alone. I think you’re not covering any shift tonight”

“hmm… I’ll pass on that”

The little Emily inside was jumping up and down blissfully and she wished to say yes. She was not only free tonight but Richard was going out of town for an annual conference. No day would be better than this auspicious chance. She missed techno heart throbbing dancing club, the signature margarita, the sassy single girl night out, the hot date…She consciously knew it was wrong but subconsciously wanted the adventure. Her thirst for an unpredictable exciting new date with a drop-dead gorgeous young heartbreaker slapped her face when she realised she had just refused the long awaited proposal.

“Come on, Lilly will come too”

“Oh, will she?”

“Yes, we all can have a lot of fun. You look like you need it.”

“I haven’t been there for a while”

“Lilly said it was your favourite place… so what do you say?”

Had he thought this through, everything seemed like it was carefully deceitfully plotted to lure her in the trap.
